Asus globally launched its new flagship smartphone Asus Zenfone 6 last month in Spain. Now, Flipkart has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India on June 19th, but as Asus 6z. After a recent high court order, Asus will not be allowed to launch the phone under the “Zen” or “Zenfone” due to trademark issues.
Asus 6z will be same as Asus Zenphone 6. The specifications and configuration of the device will be exactly the same only the name has been changed because of the copyright issues. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart from June 19.
Specifications of Asus 6z (ZenFone 6):
The main eye-catching feature of Asus 6z is its unique flip camera. It has a motorized 48MP flip camera with an ultra-wide 13 MP camera. The flip camera allows you to take high-quality images and videos from both sides. This new concept of a smartphone camera is surely loved by people. But the time will tell how sustainable and handy it will turn out.
Asus 6z has a 6.46-inch (pixels) Full HD+ NanoEdge IPS LCD 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen with 600 nits brightness, HDR10, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is backed with an Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU. The smartphone will run on Android 9.0 Pie with ZenUI 6. The device will be powered with a 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging. It will be available in two variants – 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and the other one with 8GB RAM with 128/256 GB storage. The memory of the phone can also be expanded up to 1TB with the microSD. Asus 6z will support Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C.
The price of the phone is not yet revealed. It will be known with its launch later this month.
