Nokia Shipped Over 4 Million Smartphones in Q4 2017, Captured 1 Percent of the Market

HMD Global partnered with the Nokia has managed to capture 1 percent of global market share in Q4 2017. As we know, in 2017 there was a re-born of Nokia brand phones. HMD has launch 6 smartphones in the market with proper build quality, pure Android version and regular updates option. Nokia Brand is making an accelerated growth in the market by shipping 4 million smartphones in Q4 2017.

The HMD global brand powered an Android smartphone which includes Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 7, Nokia 8. Also, the various variant of Nokia 3310 and other Nokia Android phones which have been launched at MWC 2018.

Counterpoint Research Report:

The counterpoint research has shared its information about the HMD Global shipping figures with Nokiamob. It claims that Nokia smartphones have cover 1 percent of Global Smartphone shipments in Q4 2017. That means it shipped around 4.15 million of total units in the last quarter of 2017.

 Counterpoint Research said in its statement to Nokimob, “Nokia HMD captured 1 percent market share in Q4 2017 smartphone market. Nokia’s smartphones have been well receives in the market making it grow rapidly in recent quarters. The brand’s sentimental value within dealers and customers paired with quality smartphone launches are helping Nokia gain further market share. The brand has diverse portfolio covering multiple price band category helping it expand further in volume.”

As per the report, Nokia smartphone sales stands at 8.45 million across last year. In recently release counterpoint report, it has claimed 2.8 million Nokia Android smartphone and 13.5 million Nokia feature phones were shipped in Q3 2017. Also, Nokia claims it has shipped 9.8 million Lumia smartphone in the same amount of time after launch.

HMD Global has launch smartphones with regular Nokia branding. Nokia partnered with HMD Global and launch the first Nokia 150 handset. Later in January 2017, the company has released the first Android-based device Nokia 6 in China and MWC 2017. The company grabs the Global attention by launching the improved version of Nokia 3310 (2017) model, along with Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6.
