WhatsApp is very popular for its calling and video calling support for the mobile devices but now, call support is soon going to arrive on desktop and web clients.
The users will be able to conduct voice calls and video calls beyond phone which is currently into development as stated by a report from WABetaInfo
Calling and video calling feature will be available besides the search option on the opened message. When you call someone, a small pop-up appears where you will be able to accept, decline, or ignore the call.

It comes with a minimal interface and is very easy to use, however, we are unclear on how it will work on pending calls, but it is mostly expected to work the same it does with on the smartphone devices.

Group calling and video calling will most probably be available for desktop and web clients but they will also have a limitation for up to 8 people.

Calling support on the desktop will take the application one step further providing independence from its mobile usage. Still, users need to be connected to their smartphones while using the desktop or web client but WhatsApp is reported to be working on linked device login support which will eliminate the need to connect your phone every time you use WhatsApp on desktop or web client.
