The Online Wallet app Paytm has been pulled down from Google Playstore. The reason behind Google removing the Paytm app is the use of the app in casinos and gambling apps that supports sports betting. Being one of the best startups of India, getting vanished from PlayStore is a huge blow for Paytm.
Recently, Google had announced that it doesn’t support any casinos or gambling-related apps or websites that encourage betting in India. The app is majorly used by people to transfer money through the wallet. In their statement, Google said that they don’t allow and support any app that facilitates transactions for casinos or gambling apps that lead to sports betting in India.

Along with the Paytm app, the Paytm First Games app is also pulled down from the Google Play Store. From the sources, it is known that Google had notified Paytm developers about the issue a few days back and they are in regular talks regarding the policies of the digital wallet and e-commerce app.
Paytm is India’s most valued startup and it is owned by One97 Communication Ltd. The company has received very large amount of investment and it was doing very well in the entire country. Since the demonetization of notes in India, Paytm was the prime choice of people in doing cashless transactions.

Paytm will now have to revise their policies in order to make their app available on PlayStore. If you are worried that your money in the digital wallet is safe or not then don’t take tension. The app is removed from PlayStore but it still functions the same. You can perform transactions and everything other thing using Paytm which you used to do earlier.
The Paytm app is still available on Apple App Store and soon the developers will be back with the app on Google Play Store too. The official account of Paytm on Twitter assured that all the money is safe and they can use Paytm normally and the app will be soon back on Google Play Store.
