Niantic’s location-based game, Pokemon Go has made around $900 from players spending in the year 2019. It was the best year for Pokemon Go and made 10% year on year growth, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.
The Game Developer Niantic has made many incremental updates to improve the game and match it with the real world. This has helped a lot to maintain the user acquisition ratio and also to improve the player spendings.
The year 2016, was great of Pokemon Go and also for the location-based games. Pokemon Go made about $832 million in that year and later it has some downfall. The year 2017 was not so good and saw a downfall of -29% year on year. After that, the team has worked very hard on updates and strategies to boost up the player spending in the Pokemon Go game.
In the year 2018, Pokemon Go got player spending of about $816 million with +38% growth year on year. It was a great year for the Pokemon Go and now the growth is stable and has reached $894 million in the year 2019 with +10% growth year on year.
Till Now, Niantic’s hit has collected more than $3.1 billion in lifetime player spending. Pokemon Go accumulated more than 55 million installs in 2019. The U.S. accounted for the majority of downloads, picking up more than 10 million installs, or 19 percent of the total.
