The smartphone manufacturers are in the race of launching 5G ready smartphone and the carriers are in the race of launching 5G network and providing nationwide coverage in the US. Today, Sprint has become a 3rd service provider to offer with the lightning-speed 5G network in the US. Sprint has launches its 5G network in the cities of Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and Kansas.

Before Sprint, two other carriers company such as Verizon and AT&T had launched the 5G network in the US. But Sprint is not in focus to become first, but it is in focus to become the best 5G service provider. The 5G network of Sprint covers more people than the other carriers combined.

On the expansion note, Sprint 5G network will be reaching to other cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix and Washington, DC in the coming weeks. After this expansion, Sprint will become the largest 5G provider in the US.

Sprint has also started selling the LG V50 ThinQ and HTC 5G Hub in 5G world. The LG V50 is running on Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with an X50 5G modem. The HTC Hub is like a fancy hotspot for your home or office to which you can connect devices over WiFi. Sprint will begin selling the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G later this summer as well.

Sprint is starting its 5G push around 2.5GHz which is a frequency band they have used for LTE deployments in the past. The company has a very good part of this spectrum nationwide. Sprint says speeds on 2.5GHz 5G should be at least in the hundreds of megabits per second.
