One of the most popular names in the world of gaming, especially in PC, PS4 and XBOX One, Apex Legends are finally expanding to a new market. In a recent report, Andrew Wilson, CEO or Electronic Arts revealed exciting news for gamers: a mobile version was being developed of the battle royale game. Additionally, they were also working towards its launch in China.
The company is enormously excited for what the future held in store for Apex Legends, especially with all its expansions underway. Apex Legends coming to mobile is no big surprise, as the mobile gaming market has been booming in the recent past with the launch of PUBG and Fortnite.
Wilson also affirmed the self-publication of Apex Legends in Korea, another huge market for games. They aspire to build a direct connection with their audience there, also aiming at using this as leverage for other games.
According to reports, Wilson further established research into how Apex Legends was possibly one of the fasted growing games in history of EA games. The game has managed to accumulate a following of nearly 50 million players, with 30 per cent of them being new to the company, as well. This is surely a huge benefit for the publisher.
Further quoting the statement, Andrew Wilson revealed that the team at EA were increasingly ‘excited and humbled’ by the wide spread support the game had been receiving. He ascertained that the team was working hard to deliver enhanced developments to the massive and yet, still growing community. Gamers could expect new seasons, new legends, robust Battle Pass content and exciting evolutions, to name a few.
It is, in fact, only the beginning for fans and gamers, alike, of Apex Legends. The first details of the second season is expected to be released around the month of June.
