On Play Store we have seen a number of apps from various categories. Earlier Google disallows all the apps which are considered inappropriate or dangerous. Now, Google has updated its term that will ban fake ID apps from Play Store.
Usually, this kind apps in the Play Store helps you to create a Fake IDs. As per Google’s developer policy center, Google is banning all fake ID apps from Play Store which includes Fake ID Generator, Fake ID Card Maker, and other similar ones.
“We don’t allow apps that help users to mislead others, including, but not limited to, apps that generate or facilitate the generation of ID cards, social security numbers, passports, diplomas, credit cards and driver’s licenses. Any claim that an app is a “prank”, “for entertainment purposes” (or other synonyms) does not exempt an app from an application of our policies,” said in Developer policy center.
Developers make this kind of apps for fooling other peoples. Many people download these Fake ID apps just for timepass. But Google will not allow such fake ID apps on Play store whose aim is to mislead peoples.
Few developers will say that their app is just made for prank purpose and not meant for an illegal purpose. For this reason, Google has already mentioned that if they put prank or for entertainment purposes in their app description, Play Store will not allow that app. Moreover, Google already started removing these fake ID apps from Play Store.
However, a developer can host this kind of apps on any other app store rather than Google Play Store. Soon Google will begin removing a bunch of fake ID apps from the Play Store.
