Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched its Vivo V9 smartphone in Indian market. The Vivo V9 smartphone features a notch at the front and it looks very similar to the iPhone X. The handset sports an edge-to-edge display and is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Also, the company has hired the famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as a brand ambassador of Vivo.
The phone has a 6.3-inch bezel-less display with 24 MP selfie camera. Also, it carries a dual camera on its back. Moreover, the Vivo V9 will run an Android 8.1 Oreo-based software. The device has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and it will be priced at Rs. 22,990. Vivo V9 will be available via both online and offline platform and go on sale from next month.

Display:
The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The huge screen on the handset looks very good and it is suitable for watching videos and viewing pictures. The company is introducing new FullView Display 2.0 phone with 19:9 aspect ratio. It has 2.5D curved glass which adds more premium feel while handling the screen. Compare to iPhone X it has a smaller notch which includes the earpiece, proximity sensor, and the front camera. The brightness level on the handset is very decent, one can easily handle it in direct sunlight.
Camera:
On the back of Vivo V9, you will see a dual-rear camera which is vertically placed just like the iPhone X. The dual camera comes with a combination of 16+5MP. The one has a 16MP lens with f/2.0 aperture while other has a 5MP lens with f/2.4 aperture. However, the images taken with Vivo V9 gives very good quality images even in decent light condition and also it take shots very quickly as compared to other smartphones.
Coming to the front, it has a 24MP lens with f/2.0 aperture which helps you to click better selfies. The company says the phone has Artifical intelligence which will make selfies better. The camera of Vivo V9 includes many features like face Beauty, Gender detection, Face Beauty video call, real-time camera filters, HDR mode, and portrait. Also, the company is improving the quality of Selfie sensors.
Hardware:
The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC chipset. With this chipset, the phone carries 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB by using microSD card slot.
Software:
The phone runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo which is the latest os version in the market. As we all know, Vivo uses a heavy skinned OS on the top of Android which hides most of the features. Also, the Funtouch OS packs a bunch of preloaded apps. It includes many apps like iMusic, Feedback, Vivo Cloud, Easy Share, Video, iManager, V-Appstore, Notes, and default Browser.
Performance:
As mention above, the V9 comes with 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 626 SoC processor which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. Even working on multiple apps, users can experience a smooth interface. Also, one can play high graphics games like Asphalt 8 or Modern Combat without facing any la ag on a V9 smartphone.
Battery:
The V9 has non-removable Li-Ion 3,260mAh battery which can easily last throughout the day even with heavy uses. However, the phone doesn’t carry fast charging support.
Price and Availability:
The price of Vivo V9 starts at Rs. 22,990 which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB Internal Storage. Users can pre-orders V9 on Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm and Vivo Store. The company says if users placed an order before April 2 will get one-time screen replacement warranty, an additional discount of Rs. 2,000, and no-cost EMIs.
Also Paytm is giving a cashback of Rs. 2,299 on using the code ‘VIVOV9’. Moreover, with V9 pre-orders, Vivo Store and Amazon has mentioned a couple of movie tickets from BookMyShow. The Vivo V9 will go on sale from April 2, and will also be available offline across the country.
