As we know, India has the highest rate in a road accident occurs. Most of the bikers use their phone while riding and put their life on higher risk. To control this number of accident, several smartphones manufacturers have managed to add a dedicated mode on a device which will inform callers when someone is riding a bike. Now Huawei brand honor has rolled out new Ride Mode feature to Honor 9 Lite via OTA update.
The Ride Mode feature is similar to the S Bike Mode which was announced by Samsung in 2016. The Ride mode on Honor 9 Lite is design to ensure users safety which will alert the callers that the person they are calling is unavailable to take calls. Implementing Ride Mode on 9 Lite will prevent from any distraction while riding which will result in the safety of users.
The company said that Ride Mode feature will also available to other Honor smartphones like Honor 7X and Honor 9i. For using this feature, users can move towards the Setting section of the phone.

Ride Mode feature will be useful for millions of Indian bike riders and encourage safe smartphone usage while bike riding.”
With this feature, users can choose different ways to inform callers. You can select from a range of preset SMS which can send to the caller. It also allows you to customize the message as per your choice. Along with SMS alert, you can also send their locations to the caller.
For enabling the Ride Mode feature on Honor 9 Lite, users can use the drop-down menu or their phone settings. The feature will work as Do-Not-Disturb notice and inform to the caller saying that the user won’t be able to pick the call since he’s driving right now.
In an emergency case, callers will be able to send a call just by pressing 1 on their keypad. It will also allow users to change the language in which callers are informed when they call. The Ride Mode feature is rolling out in batches of updates.
