Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime Launched in India, Starts at INR 12,990

South Korean smartphone company Samsung has launched its new Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone in India. The company is offering two storage variants of the phone. It is a mid-range smartphone and will available on January 20 at Amazon India and Samsung Shop. The biggest highlights of this new smartphone are, it includes Samsung Pay mini support and a new Samsung Mall visual search feature. Samsung Mall allows a user to search for products by taking their photo in the real life. Also, the search engines offer many results from multiple online retailers as well as allows the users to directly purchase the product within the app itself.

The smartphone has 5.5-inch full HD TFT display. The company has launched this new smartphone in two storage variant. One with 32GB which has 3GB of RAM and other with 64GB which has 4GB of RAM. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. It has a 13MP rear camera at the back with an LED flash and a 13MP front-facing camera for good selfie. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat version. The handset has non-removable Li-Ion 3,300mAh battery.

Design and Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is a mid-range budget phone. It sports the standard galaxy design with a home button on the front. Also, it comes with a fingerprint reader on the home button which allows users to unlock the device in no time. It offers a brushed metal finish which is topped with curved edges for optimal viewing and comfortable single-handed use.

The phone comes with two 13MP cameras, one at the back and other at the front. Both the lens are capable of capturing quality images and videos even in extreme conditions. The rear 13MP has a LED flash which can handle low-light photography. While the front 13MP camera can be used for better selfies and video calling. Also, the smartphone comes with palm capture feature, in that you can take selfies just by waving your palm in front of the secondary lens.

The Galaxy On7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch Full HD TFT display which has a bright screen and reproduced best images. The huge screen is paired with good viewing angles and is ideal for playing games or watching videos. The phone packs a non-removable Li-Po 3,300mAh battery. The company claims it can easily last for an entire day with moderate usage.

Performance and Storage:

The device is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset which is clocked at 1.6GHz. It is coupled with 3GB and 4GB of RAM to deliver smooth and lag-free smartphone experience to its users. It allows you to work with multiple apps simultaneously and also play heavy games for a longer period without affecting the performance of the smartphone.
The phone comes with two storage variant, one with 32GB and other with 64GB. The internal storage can be expanded further using a microSD card up to 256GB. It will allow you to store apps and all your bigger data on micro SD card. The handset comes with a dedicated microSD card slot and one doesn’t have to choose between a microSD card and a SIM card.

The connectivity option on the phone includes 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and a micro USB 2.0 port. Also, the phone has dual sim Standby support. Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime runs the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out of the box.

Launch offers and Availability:

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime price in India starts at Rs. 12,990 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage variant. While for 4GB of RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage variant the price goes up to Rs. 14,990. The phone is available in Gold and Black color variants in India. It is exclusive to Amazon India and the Samsung shop and will go on sale from January 20.
The launch offers include Rs. 2,000 cashback for JioMoney users, if they buy Rs. 299 recharge for 24 months. The first Rs. 800 cashback will be given after 12 months and the next Rs. 1,200 will give after the next 12 months.
