Google will soon launch a useful update to Google Maps that will give users an interactive real-time notification and live guidance during their journey. Users can get a real-time update on their journey. These updates will appear in the Google Maps app and will also show notification on Android lock screen.
To start with this feature, you just have to search for your transit direction in Google Maps. Soon you’ll find a start button at the bottom of the screen. By just tapping on start button you can get details about your transit journey, later you will get live updates as you walk or ride on your local buses and trains.
According to Techcrunch report, Google Maps will even remind you to get off your bus or train when you get close to your stop. This is definitely the best thing that will help you when you’re traveling somewhere to a new place or get sleepy sometimes. This feature provides a notification which is displayed on the lock screen of your Android devices. Google Maps notification might be interactive, so you can scroll to look the stops that coming.
As Google Maps does the best job which gives you detailed transit direction with the process generally involving keeping track of progress along the route. But with this update, transit notification becomes more useful for walking, driving a car and for bikers.
