WhatsApp is currently working on Multi-Device Support where a user can use the same WhatsApp account on 4 different devices at the same time. Over the period of this year, a detailed report has surfaced which shows the progress the company has made in various aspect of the new feature.
A report that is shared by WABetaInfo, states that WhatsApp that is owned by Facebook is currently testing configuration of calling feature when multi-device support will be switched on. WhatsApp has been testing the feature from the past week on how the calling feature will work on the same accounts with different devices. This confirms that we will get to see the feature soon in the coming updates when it will be rolled out publicly.
However, there is still no word on when the feature will be released. Though, a report suggests that the users will be able to use the same WhatsApp account on four different devices when you won’t have the need of a primary device to have an active internet connection which is the case for WhatsApp Web. Recently disappearing messages which came to WhatsApp also came to Facebook and Instagram as Vanish mode where a user can just swipe up on the chat to enable. This way disappearing messages will be enabled on Facebook and Instagram.
WhatsApp has rolled out many updates this year including some of the updates which were very much necessary such as storage management tool, disappearing messages, UPI Payment, and also support for shopping through WhatsApp. Past reports have also stated the feature of linking multiple devices on the same WhatsApp account. here you will see an option to link a new device in your WhatsApp account and they will also see the list of connected devices with the account.
