
Redmi 9 Power has been launched in India through Amazon India as Xiaomi’s latest smartphone in the budget range. The renders of Redmi 9 Power were recently leaked online and the official launch shows the same image that was leaked before. The phone is said to be a rebranded version of the Chinese variant Redmi Note 9 which was launched in China last month. As known in the leaks, the smartphone has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side of the phone.

The Redmi 9 Power will be running on Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 12 on top of the OS. The smartphone is powered by a mid-range CPU which is Snapdragon 662 coupled with Adreno 610 and is backed by a massive battery of 6000 mAh with support of 18W fast charging and 22.5W charger included in the box. The smartphone sports a Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution which is a water droplet style screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection and 400 nits of brightness.

As speaking of the camera, the smartphone features quad rear camera setup which has 48-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle secondary camera, 2-megapixel macro shooter, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is 8-megapixel which supports Artificial Intelligence face unlock. The smartphone comes with two storage options that are 4 GB RAM / 64 GB Storage and 4 GB RAM / 128 GB Storage, you can also expand the storage with MicroSD card up to 512 GB.

The smartphone will be available for purchase through Amazon and the brand’s website mi.com. The base variant which has 64 GB storage is priced at Rs.10,999, and 128 GB Storage is priced at Rs. 11,999. The first sale of Redmi 9 Power will be live on 22nd December 2020 at 12 noon IST. The smartphone is available in 4 colour options Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, Electric Green.
